The Madness of Man

This is the madness of man
Thinking he can pull the sty
From another man’s eye
While being blinded by
The one in his own
And feeding his child
A continual lie
Hoping the truth will appear
When they’re grown

Refusing to see the cycles
Or recognize the one that we’re in
Not the growth quite advertised
But the lowest we’ve ever been
Or campaigning for a political change
Like it’s an answer to all of his sins
And printing more of his currency
Will somehow heal him within

Afraid of the truth before him
He’s the manifestation of end
And too arrogant to understand
Universe will begin once again
Panicked by his works
We see the madness of this man
Feverishly praying for divinities help
But not realizing that he can
