We can't hear God
If our minds are not clear
If they are cluttered with the echoes
Of insecurity and fear

We can't hear God
If there's no silence in our hearts
If we hurt from past things said
From emotions taking part

We can't hear God
If we are so afraid to speak
The truth of who we are
Because our desires have grown weak

We can't hear God
If our struggle destroys our peace
And the feel of guilt and shame
Seems will never cease

We can't hear God
If we don't stop and listen
Then communicate openly
And declare we haven't sinned

We can't hear God
If we can't recognize the voice
Cause we feel so separated
That we feel we have no choice

We can't hear God
If we don't know it's from within
That her whispers fill our souls
So relationship begins

We can't hear God
If we don't see Him as the SELF
Then we miss the truest blessing
From the greatest source of wealth
